During Arkansas Holocaust Education Week (January 27 - 31), Ms. Funderburg's civics class engaged in meaningful discussions on the laws and events that led up to the Holocaust. Each group was assigned three real-life individuals affected by these changes and explored how specific laws—such as the Nuremberg Laws or policies restricting rights and freedoms—impacted their daily lives, careers, and personal identities.

Through these discussions, students examined how legal and political shifts slowly stripped away rights, leading to persecution and tragedy. By putting themselves in the shoes of those affected, they gained a deeper understanding of how laws shape societies and the real human cost of injustice.
