Lila Driver (Luka), a Junior at Arkansas Arts Academy High School was selected to have their drawing Wire and Vine  on display in the 2024/2025 OZART: Missouri and Arkansas Young Artist Gallery at WonderWorks in Branson.  Selected by a team of judges,  the artwork will be featured alongside an extensive art gallery of illusion art, Dr. Seuss’ Taxidermy Art Sculptures, other local artists and more! The exhibit will open on March 1, 2025.

This year’s contest theme is: The Nature of STEM. Luka created the winning art piece in her Drawing II class led by Ms. Schultz, who posted the art competition in her classroom for all of her students to consider. Ms. Shultz states "It was a juried show so getting accepted is a challenge, I encouraged Luka to submit as the art work fit this year's theme so well."

Tim Church, the Sales & Marketing Manager with WonderWorks Branson, confirmed Luka's win stating "we can’t wait to display your artistic talent with all our guests!"

Each fall, local students ages 6 to 20 are invited to submit their masterpieces for a chance to have them displayed in the upside-down house. Guests can come back each year to see the new winning artwork, all falling under a unique new theme. The OZART: Missouri & Arkansas Young Artist Gallery,  is located on the second floor of our upside-down WonderWorks attraction in Branson, MO.

Open House

We are hosting an open house at the high school for our parents of incoming 7th and 8th graders. The primary goal of this meeting is to explain the process of how we are doing our Student Success Planning (SSP) and class selection. While the younger grades do not have a tremendous amount of choice in the classes they choose, we want you to see the new academic pathways for advanced students and make you aware of the electives that your students can choose.

Date: January 28, 6pm-7:30pm-Presentation 7:30-8:00pm Tour (optional).

Students in Ms. Arnold’s 8th grade math classes, the co-taught Math 8 course with Ms. Arnold and Miss Hamaker, and Mr. Free’s 3rd Period Geometry class alongside the Accelerated Math 7 class, participated in an engaging lesson on the Pythagorean Theorem using square Cheese-It crackers. The hands-on activity allowed students to discover the formula for themselves and apply it to different scenarios, all while enjoying a tasty snack!
