This week at AAA Elementary

Many of our students worked this week on Original Creations as they wrapped up their Quarter 3 Artful Learning Units! Students in 4th grade used the design concept of Notan, a design principle that emphasizes the relationship between light and dark areas in a composition, aiming for balance and harmony, to represent their learning in their unit on Structure. 1st graders created Tableaus showing their learning about Fairy Tales during their Artful Learning unit about Interaction.

Our 5th graders video-chatted with a class from Ukraine this week. This is a multi-year partnership with students in Ukraine that Mr. Papania's class has continued through the help of the organization Hugs from Friends. And to top off the week, we had a TERRIFIC Spring Carnival organized by our wonderful PTA!

Intersession Camps @ AAA Elementary!

We have a few more Intersession Camps available. Roo's World will be open for intersession week from 8-4 for K-6 (current and new students can sign up), Mrs. Beshears is offering a camp for 1st & 2nd graders, DeShea McCorkle is offering a dance camp for 5th and 6th graders, and Mrs. Jetton and Mrs. Benton are offering Nail'd it and Stem Camps for 3rd-6th graders.
