It was so nice to see everyone back last week. Thank you for your and your children's flexibility as we had to change the Thursday lunch menu. All of the snow days threw a wrench in our plans. We're all hoping for clearer weather. As always, watch social media, local news, and email for information on closings, late starts, or any other weather-related changes to our schedule.

Support Our AAA Elementary Fundraiser!

The day is here! You can now register for our Arkansas Arts Academy Dance Fit fundraiser! Our goal is to raise $18,500 for high-quality arts supplies to support our mission to infuse our curriculum with the arts. Registering is easy and free! Students will get a prize just for registering! We will begin collecting donations soon. Our big kickoff is January 30.

Counselor's Corner

Welcome back for our Spring 2024 semester!   Our January Word of the Month is Resilience, as we embark on a new year and fresh start. Students are earning blue tickets this month for showing kindness and resilience and have the opportunity for a prize if their name is drawn during Rise and Shine on January 26.

Group Therapy Sessions with Megan Beard with Water's Edge Counseling

We are excited to share a children's therapy group opportunity at AAA Elementary, led by one of our school-based therapists, Megan Beard. Here is the information below:

Kids Who Rock: Group Therapy at Arkansas Arts Academy Elementary/Middle School! Calling All Super Kids!

Are you ready to shine and share? Join the "Kids Who Rock" group! - Express yourself - Explore and control your feelings - Make new friends - Navigate challenges with confidence - Have fun with games, arts, and music! 

Groups will be led by Megan Beard, LPC-S, a licensed counselor with over 12 years of experience working with students and families. 

When: Groups will meet weekly for 8 sessions starting the week of Monday, February 19th. 

K-3rd grade: Tuesdays: 9:30am-10:30am      4th-6th grade: Mondays: after school, 3:30pm-4:30pm

Cost: Option 1: If your student has Arkansas Medicaid A or B, Group Therapy services are covered (Type A: $0, Type B: $10 per session) A referral from their Primary Care Physician  (PCP) is required prior to starting the group.

Option 2: Self Pay - $50 per session

An Intake Session is required prior to starting the group for all members. It can be completed with Megan Beard, LPC-S at the Water’s Edge Counseling office in Rogers. Please call 479-621-0301 to sign your student up and to schedule the intake session.
